Veloren is an open source voxel rpg inspired by games like Cube World, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Dwarf Fortress. The game is primarily developed in the fancy Rust coding language, and has grown to become one of the most promising free and open source video games around.

The newest incarnation of this voxel-based multiplayer game is a notch above the competition. Featuring a top notch user interface, a robust suite of community features and the latest in gaming technology, Veloren is certainly worth a look.

It’s not all about the code, despite the name, this open source voxel-based title is also free and easy to download from a variety of distributions and platforms. It is also not hard to build a slick looking server, and the game’s community has gone out of its way to make the experience fun for players.
